Woodgrove Centre Walking Club

Keep fit the Woodgrove way. Free to join, the Woodgrove Centre Walking Club is a refreshing way to start your day. Since 1987, our Walking Club has grown to more than 110 active members.

Ready to join? Pick up a registration form at Guest Services near the food court or in the administration office. Sign in daily at A&W.

Seniors' Movies

The golden age of cinema is back. So to speak.

On the first Tuesday of January, February, March, April, September, October, November, and December, seniors who are 55 years or better can make their way to Avalon Cinema Centre for an “in-theatre” matinee blockbuster movie for just a $4 ticket.

Tickets can be purchased at Guest Services near the food court for entry to a matinee show being played at Avalon Cinema during Senior's Movie Day. The good news? You choose the movie!* Tickets are available 10 days prior to the show date and 50% of the proceeds are donated to a local Nanaimo charity. The not-so-good news? Quantities are limited.

*May not be used for entry into a 3D movie. Movie times as per Avalon Cinema listings.

Seniors' Day

With age comes wisdom. And savings.

On the first Tuesday of every month, a variety of Woodgrove retailers offer Seniors' Day discounts for customers 55 years and better. Kind of makes you love birthdays again, doesn’t it? To find out which retailer is offering what, pick up The Seniors' Day Guide to Savings brochure at Guest Services, from the administration office or from any of the brochure racks on our ViCCi Interactive Directories at each of the 4 entrances.

KIDS' Drop-In & Play Group

Every Tuesday 9:30 am - 10:30 am
(except during months of July & August)

Woodgrove is happy to host in partnership with PacificCARE Child Care Resource and Referral or CCRR, free weekly play groups for children 5 years and under near the Food Court. We invite parents, grandparents, or caregivers to come with your child, make a craft, play games, and sing songs. Activities are led by a certified child care provider from PacificCARE CCRR.
