Father's Day Contest

Contest rules

No purchase necessary to enter the contest.  To participate in the contest you must be a member of Instagram (www.facebook.com) and follow the Woodgrove Centre, (the Sponsor), account.  Entries are only open to residents of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, who have reached the age of 19 at the time of entry.
 
Eligibility:  The Woodgrove Centre, Things My Dad Says (the Contest) is open to legal residents of Vancouver Island, British Columbia who are over the age of majority in British Columbia (19+) at the time of entry.  Employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of Woodgrove Centre, Woodgrove Centre Limited Partnership, Ivanhoé Cambridge (collectively, the “Sponsor”),  the tenants of the mall (or their employees), any contractors of the mall, their subsidiaries, affiliates, nominees, parent companies, and advertising/promotion agencies or members of their immediate families (defined as parents, spouses, children, siblings, grandparents, and their respective spouses) are not eligible to enter.   Facebook is not a sponsor of this Contest and does not endorse or otherwise have anything to do with the Contest.  By participating, you signify that you have read, accept, and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).
 
Entry / Submission Period:  The contest is open for entry starting June 14, 2016 at 1pm Pacific Standard Time and will close at 9pm Pacific Standard time on June 16, 2016.
 
How to Enter:  The participant will enter to win the contest by: 1) “Liking” facebook.com/woodgrovecentre 2.) Commenting on the contest post named, Things My Dad Says.  Entries that are deemed inappropriate, incomplete, illegible, corrupted, false, lost, or late, or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules may be disqualified from the Contest at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Winner will be chosen at random.
 
The Prize:  $50 Woodgrove Centre gift card. The prize in its entirety is non transferable, accepted as awarded and has no cash value.  Any gratuities, additional expenses and moving and/or delivery costs incurred by the winner will be the sole responsibility of the winner.  Woodgrove Centre reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, in the event that the prize described is unavailable due to circumstances beyond their control.
 
Notification:  The winner will be tagged in a Facebook post where they will be asked to contact us via Private Message with their email address to receive the prize package by a representative of Woodgrove Centre within seven (7) days after the contest closing date and must reply within five (5) days to maintain eligibility. If the potential winner does not reply within this time period or fails to respond to any attempted contact, such potential winner will be disqualified, his/her entry will be declared null and void and the Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to select at random another eligible entry, in which event these provisions shall apply to such other eligible entry.
 
In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question, and he or she will be required to complete a standard Release Form.  If the selected Entrant refuses to sign the Release Form, another Entrant may be randomly selected and the initial selected Entrant will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards Woodgrove Centre or any of the Sponsors, or their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, divisions, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, franchisees, service agencies, or independent contractors.
 
General Conditions:  By participating, each Entrant and selected winning Entrant agrees: (a) to be bound by and always be in compliance with these Rules and the decisions of Woodgrove Centre; (b) to release and hold harmless Woodgrove Centre, Facebook, or any of the Sponsors, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, divisions, parents, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, franchisees, service agencies, or independent contractors, from any and all liability for claims/damages in connection with their participation in this Contest or the acceptance of any Prize, including but not limited to claims/damages for personal injury or for loss or property damage with respect to acceptance, possession or use or misuse of the Prize; (c) to permit Woodgrove Centre or any of the Contest Entities to use the name, city and/or province of residence, photograph, video, or any likeness of the winning Entrant(s) for advertising or publicity purposes without any additional compensation; (d) to accept the Prize(s) as awarded; and (e) the winning Entrant(s) agrees to complete a Release Form to this effect.
 
Limitations of Liability:  The Sponsor is not responsible for:  a) incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information or late, lost, stolen, unintelligible, illegible, damaged, mutilated, altered, incomplete, or misdirected entries or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels, all of which will be disqualified;  b) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any telephone, computer online systems, computer equipment, website, server provider, network, hardware or software;  c) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any website or service (including, without limitation, the Instagram service;  d) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest;  e) printing, typographical, electronic or human errors which may occur in the offer or administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or f) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to participant’s computer, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participant’s participation in the Contest (including, without limitation, from use of the Instagram service), or from viewing, playing or downloading any material from the Sponsor’s or Instagram’s website(s), regardless of whether the material was prepared by the Sponsor or a third party, and regardless of whether the material is connected to the Sponsor’s website by a hypertext link.

Disputes:  Participant agrees that: a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, or the prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and solely and exclusively in a federal or provincial court located in British Columbia, Canada; participant submits to sole and exclusive personal jurisdiction to said courts in the Province of British Columbia for any such dispute and irrevocably waives any and all rights to object to such jurisdiction; b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and c) under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for and participant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules of Contest, or the rights and obligations of participant or Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of British Columbia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules of provisions (whether of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of British Columbia.

Woodgrove Centre reserves the right to change, modify, or add rules if deemed necessary.
