New BUZZ at Woodgrove
Woodgrove Centre is doing its part to improve conditions and the environment for honeybees to flourish and pollinate in our neighbourhood. They arrived in mid-May to their new home on our roof. The honeybee population has been declining in recent years due to many reasons; the use of pesticides, herbicides, disease, parasites and change of land use to name a few.
Honeybees can travel up to 3 kms and thrive on sunshine, flowers and water. Our landscaper will be introducing plants and vegetation to ensure our honeybees prosper in their new habitat.
