NOON - 4 PM IN CENTRE COURT NEAR SEPHORA

Come try your hand at a real engineering design challenge! Pick up your FREE kit and rules from Guest Services by April 4 and build a bridge using 100 popsicle sticks and white glue. Bring your design to Woodgrove Centre on April 6 between 11:30 am - 2 pm to see how much weight your structure can support.

The contest is open to all interested groups and individuals in four age categories:
  • Age 8 and under
  • Age 9 to 12
  • Age 13 to 16, and
  • Age 17 and over
Woodgrove gift card prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third strongest  bridge in the four age categories , as well as for "Most Innovative Bridge Design".

Hosted by The Engineers and Geoscientists BC Vancouver Island branch as part of National Engineering and Geoscience Month (NEGM): an annual celebration of engineering and geoscience across Canada. This informative, fun-filled event is aimed at promoting the awareness of the engineering and geoscience professions, showcase career choices, and the many ways in which engineering and geoscience relate to our everyday life.
