Contest rules

(The “Promotion”)

1.1 Eligibility
(a)       The Promotion is open to all Woodgrove Centre’s newsletter subscribers who are residents of British Columbia and have reached the age of 19 years or older at the time of entry. All promotional winners who are under the age of majority shall be accompanied by a parent / guardian. The following are ineligible to participate in the Promotion: employees and their immediate families of Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc., representatives and agents of Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc., its subsidiaries or affiliates, their advertising and marketing agencies, all Woodgrove Centre retail stores and their employees, the suppliers of the prizes, materials and services used as part of this promotional contest or any other party directly involved in holding this Contest, their legal and de facto spouse, and anyone else with whom these employees, representatives and agents are domiciled.
1.2 Promotion Period
(a)       The promotion “18 Days of Giving – Lunch is on us” (the “Promotion”) is organized by Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. (the “Promotion Organizer”) and will begin on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at 9:00am (PST) and ends when the total number of vouchers generated via the Promotion Landing Page (described below) reaches 2,300.
1.3 How to Subscribe to the Promotion Landing Page
(a)       A random selection of existing subscribers to the Woodgrove Centre newsletter will receive an email inviting them to have “Lunch on us!” and have a chance to obtain a $10 voucher. The email will include a link to the Promotion Landing page. This page is not accessible otherwise.
(b)       Participants must fill out the form on the Promotion Landing Page by entering the following information:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Postal code
(c)       Each person who fills out the form during the Promotion Period via the Promotion Landing Page will receive an email with a unique voucher (the “Code”). The Code is exchangeable at Guest Services at Woodgrove Centre, located at 6631 Island Highway North, Nanaimo, BC (the “Shopping Centre”) for a $10CDN Woodgrove Centre gift card, valid from November 2nd until November 20th, 2016 at the Food Court.
1.4 Promotion Entry Restrictions
(a)       Only one (1) Code is permitted per person during the Promotion Period. The use of multiple email addresses to subscribe to the Promotion Landing Page will be invalid for purposes of this Promotion.
(a)       The Promotion offers the chance to receive the following prize (the “Prize”):
  • One Thousand Seven Hundred (1,700) $10CDN Woodgrove Centre Gift Cards, valid from November 2nd until November 20th, exclusively at the Food Court.
(a)       During the Promotion Period only, each person who properly filled out the form on the Promotion Landing Page and received a Code may claim a Prize, subject to these Rules and Regulations. 
(b)       All Prizes must be claimed on site at the Shopping Centre at Guest Services (located near Tim Hortons and Entrance 3) beginning Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at 10am (PST) until Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 6pm (PST), during the shopping centre opening hours
(c)       In order to exchange the Code for a Prize, participants must provide the Code either by: (i) displaying such Code on a smartphone; or (ii) providing a hard copy of a print-out of the Code received via email, to a Guest Services representative. A representative will validate the Code and the participant will be provided a $10 CDN Woodgrove Centre gift card.   
(a)       By entering the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by the Rules and Regulations and the decisions of the Contest Organizer, which decisions are final with respect to all matters relating to the Promotion.
(b)       The Promotion is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal (or local) laws and regulations, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws. 
Any Code that is, depending on the case, incomplete, fraudulent, submitted late, mutilated or lacking any or the required information will automatically be refused and no Prize will be awarded. The decision of the Contest Organizer in relation thereto is final and cannot be appealed.
(c)       Contest Organizer reserves the right to disqualify anyone that attempts to enter the Promotion by means that violate the Rules and Regulations, including but not limited to bots, vote sharing, spamming, the use of fake or multiple emails. Such person may be referred to the competent judicial authorities and the decision of the Contest Organizer in relation thereto is final and cannot be appealed.
(d)       Any Prize must be accepted as awarded and described in these Rules and Regulations and may not be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged in full or in part for cash, subject to the below paragraph.
(e)       Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event the Contest Organizer is unable to award the Prize(s) as described in these Rules and Regulations for any reason, the Contest Organizer reserves the right to substitute the Prize(s) of equal or greater value. In the event a substituted prize is awarded, said prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be exchanged for cash or otherwise substituted or transferred.
(f)        The Contest Organizer reserves the right, at its entire discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, in whole or in part without prior notice for any reason including, but not limited to, viruses, bugs, tampering, system downtown or other causes beyond the Contest Organizer’s control which affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Promotion.
(g)       Participants of the Promotion agree to the use of their names, addresses and likenesses (e.g. photo or video) for promotional purposes for the Promotion and similar promotions, for publication, and for marketing purposes by the Shopping Centre, without further compensation or notification.
(h)       By entering the Promotion, participants agree to hold harmless the Contest Organizer, Shopping Centre, and its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, directors, officers and employees (collectively the “Released Parties”) against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of: (i) participant’s participation in the Promotion, (ii) the receipt or use of the Prize awarded therein, or (iii) the administration of the Promotion and the distribution of the Prize awarded therein.
(i)        All Prizes must be claimed in person and winners are solely responsible for their own transportation to and from the Shopping Centre.
(j)        Subject to the right of the Contest Organizer to make all determinations relating to the Promotion, any controversy or dispute arising out of the conduct of this Promotion shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of British Columbia applying the law of British Columbia and Canada accordingly.
(a)       By entering the Contest, all participants consent and acknowledge that the Contest Organizer shall have the right to use any and all information relating to the Contest, including information on participants obtained through the Contest, for purposes of running the Contest and, where expressly consented to, for marketing purposes, unless prohibited by law. (a)       The Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programing associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, tampering, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems, viruses or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, server providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest.
